Falklands Woolly Ragwort is a bushy, woody perennial with bright yellow flowers up to 4cm diameter (1.6 inches). They are daisy- like with long petals spaced around a deep yellow centre. Leaves and buds are felted with white woolly hairs giving the plant a grey green appearance.. Plants can be up to 25cm (9.8 inches) high. Flowers November to January, occasionally February.
Fairly common on East and West on well drained coastal and inland areas from sea level to 305m, on diddle-dee heathland, with fern beds and between rocks.
Falklands Woolly Ragwort is one of 13 endemic species of plants in the Falkland Islands, found no where else in the world.
