WARS
Considering it's resources and population, in both Wars the Falkland Island's contribution to the war effort was remarkable, they gave generously in money and lives, indicating how close their ties and loyalties are. During World War I the Falklands contributed an aircraft to the Royal Flying Corps and substantial sums of money. In World War II they contributed large sums of money and ten Spitfires carried the name 'Falkland Islands'. |
