Silver Grebe Podiceps occipitalis 

Length: 28cm (11 inches) Locally common Falklands resident breeder where it favours ponds with dense aquatic plants. 

Range: Found only in South America. Breeds from Falklands and Tierra del Fuego to about 25 °S in Chile and Argentina.
